Co-curator

Grant Lee Neuenburg was born in 1964 in Cozad, Nebraska. After graduating with a degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1987, he spent the next five years in London as a freelance photographer, film-maker and cinema projectionist. In 1992 he travelled to Africa to visit his missionary parents, who were by then (and still are) based in Mozambique. The following year he received the first of a series of commissions from the United Nations to document the peace process in Mozambique, and participated in his first exhibition, ‹Spirit of Survival› with Ricardo Rangel. He lives and works in Maputo, with his Mozambican wife and two children.
